DESCRIPTION

The Solutions Architect team works with customers across EMEA in different segments, regions and stages of cloud adoption. From Small and Medium Businesses to large Enterprises, from customers just starting in the cloud to customers with years of cloud background, our team presents opportunities to help customers innovate on AWS and shape customer solutions by empowering Sales teams with technical skills and to have effective engagements with customers. We educate customers on how to craft highly scalable, flexible, resilient, secure and cost-effective cloud architectures with the knowledge of available resources and processes to achieve operational excellence. You will have the equally exciting opportunity to grow the business impact of the SA team within our expanding sales organisation.

You will work to support customers across EMEA with a focus in BENELUX, and will be operating at the intersection of technology, business and mentoring their peers. You are broadly competent across many areas of technology and possess deep knowledge in a handful of areas. You will use excellent communication skills and demonstrate organizational or process scaling skills.

This role requires travel up to 5% depending on customer engagements.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Partner with the sales teams to educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  2. Partner with the organizations leadership to design a flexible, strong and scalable SA team.
  3. Own each engagement, helping to work towards a timely and successful delivery of customer outcomes and solutions.
  4. Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
  5. Create and deliver training and education sessions to widen and deepen technical knowledge with customers, internal colleagues or tech communities.
  6. Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, sample architectures, workshops or social media content.
  7. Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams and help evolve the AWS platform.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Knowledge of AWS services.
  2. Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  3. Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
  4. Business level proficiency in Dutch and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  2. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  3. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
