Our client is looking for a skilled Azure Technical Lead to lead and support their cloud initiatives, ensuring an efficient, secure, and cost-effective Azure environment. This role is a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on technical work, perfect for someone with a strong foundation in Azure cloud management who enjoys driving platform reliability, security, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Azure engineers and specialists, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and drive resolution in collaboration with team members.
• Oversee the Azure platform to ensure operational reliability, monitoring, and proactive management.
• Implement best practices for high availability, resilience, and automated monitoring to support business-critical applications.
• Manage and optimize Azure costs, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Regularly review cloud expenditures and provide recommendations for cost control and resource optimization.
• Manage changes to the Azure platform to uphold and enhance security standards, implementing governance and compliance measures.
• Work closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities, conduct regular security assessments, and implement best practices for data protection.
• Stay updated on evolving Azure capabilities and assess their potential benefits for our business.
• Drive platform evolution by identifying new tools and features that align with business goals and future growth.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Azure services, cloud management, and automation tools. Strong understanding of Azure security, cost optimization, and governance best practices.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams with an ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and lead resolution in high-stakes situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Desirables - Azure certifications are a plus (eg, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
