The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for a share of the 250 Healthcare Trusts and a number of Healthcare Businesses. The aim is to support the delivery of growth from £30m to over £100m of healthcare business in CPS. In order to grow business in the Healthcare sector, we are creating an overlay across the CPS regions, focusing and tailoring our efforts in order to win back significant business.
This role will work with other Senior Business Development Managers to tailor and articulate BT's propositions for the Healthcare industry. It will build an extensive network of relationships and through those relationships create the pipeline that will deliver growth. This role works closely with the region directors and sales managers bringing extensive industry knowledge and expertise to regional efforts to sell into healthcare businesses.
Job Responsibilities:- Work with Regional Directors to position BT products in context with Healthcare businesses.
- Bring customer insight and perspectives into Customer Solutions, Strategy and Marketing to champion the right product and proposition set to win in the Healthcare market.
- Support Regional Director conversations with key Healthcare industry stakeholders, providing thought leadership, introductions, materials, and shaping conversations.
- Provide feedback to Marketing on where to invest our customer relations budget.
- Provide a vertical sector overlay into the CPS regions, establishing our capability to win back significant Healthcare business.
- Shape a Healthcare-tailored set of propositions (initially from our core proposition set but with the aim of expanding to be more Healthcare-specific) and spearhead our entry into the market with them.
- Bring extensive Healthcare business knowledge and consulting expertise to the Regional sales teams to enable them to accelerate their win-back in Healthcare.
- Familiarity with healthcare structures and practices, especially around purchasing IT and communications.
- Experience selling business solutions as opposed to just products.
- Background selling healthcare propositions or background experience in the healthcare industry itself.
- 5-10 years' industry experience.
- Understanding of the Healthcare industry and its customers.
- Understanding of BT's product and proposition portfolio, with the ability to re-frame it in a way that is accessible and attractive to the healthcare industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the Healthcare industry.
- Extensive relationships within the Healthcare industry.
- Track record of creating significant pipeline (tens of millions) in the Healthcare industry of telecoms and IT solutions.
- Experience working on deals between £5m-£10m.
