Business Analyst

We are looking to build upon the digital and technical capabilities of our unique Digital, Information and Technology Shared Service, to deliver technical expertise and innovation across the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and London Councils. We are keen to take advantage of the latest technology - it's how we'll future-proof our services and make them more efficient and impactful than ever, helping many more of our residents, businesses, and visitors in turn.

As part of our ongoing technology investment, we are looking to recruit Business Analyst to work with our Head of Project Delivery to define and deliver a varied portfolio of digital and technology projects, including software and infrastructure.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some analysis experience that is looking to step up into a bigger environment, and gain experience in managing technology-based projects of different scales and complexity.

You will need to develop strong relationships with contacts within the Digital, Information and Technology Service, as well as key external stakeholders, and be accountable for analysing and translating user requirements into digital solutions, including the definition and realisation of benefits.

Above all, this role is about having a can-do attitude, solving complex problems, working across diverse stakeholder groups, and being accountable for the delivery of user requirements against agreed quality criteria. You gain experience of working on challenging, wide-ranging technology projects in a complex environment.

Core Skills

The successful candidate should have experience in the following:

• Data analysis within a large complex organisation
• Project delivery, understanding and delivering user requirements (developing specifications, implementation, acceptance tests and post project evaluation)
• Building and influencing relationships with stakeholders
• Analysis and prioritisation techniques
• Existing clearance, or an ability to pass NPPV3 security clearance, is preferred
