Buyer

We are looking for an Buyer to work within the defence sector.

Location: Reading/Hybrid working -

About the role: You will be responsible for completing all buying activities, including complex orders, ensuring that demands are understood and met, and issues are dealt with promptly.

Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will hold Active SC clearance and experience working as a Buyer, with the following skills/experience:

• Knowledge of procurement categories Public sector procurement regulation (PCR 2015)
• Experience within Defence, Nuclear of Public Sector
• Experience and knowledge to review requisitions, place purchase orders in line with the correct route to market and expedite orders to meet business needs.
• Experience in delivering cost savings.
• Experience of supporting the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation and vendor management in relevant categories.
