Your opportunity
- Your overall objective is to lead our efforts in delighting our clients with our approach to Responsible Investing through client conversations, speaking at industry events, crafting our suite of ESG-integrated and Brighter Future Funds, and ensuring Janus Henderson supports our clients through best-in-class reporting and other thought leadership.
- Primary responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary external client Responsibility leader in the UK and Europe.
- Representing and promoting Janus Henderson's Responsibility thought leadership and ESG-focused products at external conferences and forums.
- Managing the messaging, positioning, and marketing of Janus Henderson's Brighter Future Funds to drive commercial success.
- Ensuring our entire product range meets the ESG needs of both clients and regulators.
- Designing methodologies/frameworks and associated products to support the development of new Brighter Future Funds.
- Embedding these methodologies/frameworks within the broader Janus Henderson investment teams and systems.
- Leading the development of strategic and tactical approaches to ensure our portfolio suites meet existing and new portfolio-level ESG regulations.
- Protecting the firm against greenwashing by ensuring the credibility of our portfolios and methodologies.
- Supporting the Brighter Future Fund portfolios on messaging, managing ESG commitments, and reporting.
- Partnering with other parts of the firm, particularly the Responsibility Strategy & Operations team.
- Leading a small team of ESG analysts, maintaining line management responsibility of relevant team members.
- Serving on the leadership team for Responsibility and supporting the Chief Responsibility Officer as needed.
- Carrying out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills
- Excellent ability to collaborate and partner across a diverse organization.
- Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in business development and client management.
- Strong formal presentation skills and experience in public speaking.
- Execution orientation: demonstrated capability in bringing ideas from design to implementation.
- Strong knowledge of ESG market and regulatory developments.
- Good knowledge of ESG and climate data and frameworks (e.g., ESG metrics, climate change scenario analysis, etc.).
- Managerial experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, numerical, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- CFA and/or extensive experience in asset management.
Nice to have skills
- Preferable degree educated with relevant ESG exams/qualifications.
