Job Title: Change and Release Coordinator (Freelance Contract)

Location: Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite in Belgium (Multiple Locations Available)

Contract Length: 6 Months

Day Rate: €500 per day


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Change and Release Coordinator to join our dynamic IT operations team on a freelance contract basis. This role is essential in managing and overseeing IT-related change requests, facilitating seamless releases, and ensuring successful implementation with minimal disruption. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will coordinate change activities, act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, and support the continuous improvement of change and release processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management: Manage the end-to-end change lifecycle, ensuring all IT changes are assessed, approved, and implemented in line with business goals and service management processes.
  • Release Enablement: Coordinate and oversee the planning, scheduling, and successful deployment of IT releases across multiple environments.
  • Change Advisory Board (CAB) Management: Prepare, facilitate, and document CAB meetings, providing relevant information to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, development teams, and operations to assess change impacts, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment.
  • Change Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and evaluate change requests to ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Incident and Problem Management Support: Collaborate with incident and problem management teams to ensure changes are effectively managed and root cause analysis is conducted when necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement within change and release management frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Change and Release Coordinator or in a similar IT service management role.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Experience managing IT change requests and coordinating large-scale release activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to run Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of change assessment processes, risk management, and impact analysis.
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and attend onsite meetings in one of the Belgian locations.
