Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the development, execution and monitoring of the strategic plan.
- Ensuring there are effective reporting tools and accountability measures.
- Developing, managing, and maintaining productive working relationships with the Board of Directors, membership, partners, stakeholders, government agencies and other staff.
- Providing leadership to the staff to implement approved plans and achieve the goals set out in those plans and job descriptions.
- Managing all day-to-day operations of CCAA. Ensure that all functions of the organization are meeting objectives and targets.
- Assessing and leading the continuous improvement of all internal processes, systems, tools and technology to meet the demands of a growing organization.
- Developing budgets that support the demands of the organization.
- Enhancing relations and developing partnerships where appropriate with National Sport Organizations (NSOs) and multi-sport service organizations (MSOs).
- Investigating mutually beneficial partnerships to advance CCAA Student-Athlete development and Safe Sport.
Desired qualifications / skills:
- A bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) and a minimum 10 years of related senior management experience in the sport/business sector or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Proven financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and overseeing preparation of financial statements and resource development.
- Ability to manage people and implement best-practices related to all facets of human resources.
- Experience within a Sport related environment, Sport governing body, NSO/PSO and/or similar organization.
- Experience in working effectively with a board of directors.
- Has developed, implemented and operationalized a strategic plan.
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive fashion with a variety of teams, both internal and external.
- Demonstrated strong values and ethics, in accordance with CCAA Code of Ethics.
- Skilled at building consensus, issue management and dispute resolution.
- Strong written and oral communications, public/media relations, and events expertise.
- The ability to communicate in both English and French is considered an important asset.
- Travel is required.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to meet all requirements for National travel.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Police Record Check and/or vulnerable sector check, safe sport training and other screening requirements.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $94,179 to $112,553, and starting pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Also included is an attractive employee benefits package and a College defined benefits pension plan through CAAT.
Working conditions:
The place of work is the CCAA office located in Cornwall, Ontario. Parking is included when required. The position entails a 37.5-hour work week. A hybrid work model may be offered at the CCAA's discretion.
