Job Description

United Offshore Support GmbH is one of the main Global Players in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry with 13 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels operating worldwide. A team of Professionals runs the fleet from its Head Quarters in Leer, Germany, divided into a Ship management, including Technical Department and QHSE Departments, Commercial, Financial and HR Department.

As a Chief Officer, you will be responsible for the management of the crew and providing for the well-being of the vessel and its cargo. This includes, but is not limited to, the safe cargo transportation, organization of deck-works and voyage management. As the Chief Officer, you will assist the master in ensuring the vessel complies with all Flag, Class and other regulatory bodies. Further, you will maintain good communication and cooperation with the crew, as well as evaluate their performances at the end of a trip.

As a candidate for the Chief Officer, you have the following attributes:

  • Chief Officer unlimited certificate of competency
  • GMDSS unlimited certificate
  • Ability to act as the ship's Safety Officer as and when required
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Chief Officer on board AHTS DP2 Vessel
  • DPO unlimited certificate
  • All sea-related certificates up to date
  • A safety driven approach to all tasks on board the vessel

You will manoeuvre the vessel during anchor handling operation according to the master's orders, therefore you should bring the necessary experience. Your focus should always lie on maintaining a high safety standard while working on the vessel.
