Job Description

Euronext Corporate Services

Euronext Corporate Services is at the core of Euronext's strategic plan. It has delivered €46m of revenue in 2023, growing % vs 2022, being one of the most important growth engine of the Group. It is expected to deliver €50m of revenue in 2024, growing % vs. prior year, and to continue expanding with double digit growth in the coming years.

The team is composed of over 170 professionals across Europe. They help listed companies make the most effective use of capital markets, and support private and public organisations run more efficiently.

This unique and comprehensive value proposition is articulated around three main pillars:

  1. Governance services: To public and private organizations we provide our board portal solution "iBabs" to help secure, organize and run board meetings more efficiently. Our advanced video technology allows you to easily broadcast your meetings, from webinars, townhalls and studio events, we provide the right solution.
  2. Investor relations and communication services: We help our clients to increase their visibility, engagement and international coverage with shareholders, investors and all stakeholders with leading digital communications and streaming solutions. We also provide flexible and customized market data components for Investor Relations websites of listed companies. Our IR.Manager tool provides a complete and intuitive IR management and targeting platform for corporate IR teams to professionalize the workflow and engagement. Our advisory team provides high-touch advisory, ESG advisory, market intelligence and decision making analytics for listed companies willing to be more active on capital markets.
  3. Compliance services: Our ComplyLog products helps companies simplify their EU regulatory duties, speed up workflows and ensure compliance by automating the management of inside information and insider lists for both issuers and their professional advisors ensuring compliance with the European Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
The Chief Technology Officer ('CTO') role at Euronext Corporate Services ('ECS') is a key management position and plays a critical part in the success of this technology-driven business line of the Euronext Group. Reporting to the CEO of ECS, the CTO oversees all ECS technology-related resources, is accountable in the management team of Corporate Services but also in the management team of the Euronext Group COO.

The CTO manages a team primarily based in Portugal (Porto) and in the Netherlands (Hoorn, Rotterdam).

The Technology team is composed today of circa 30+ professionals. It is a key investment area for ECS as part of the strategic plan, and is expected to double in size within the next 2 years.

Key accountabilities
  • Establish ECS Technology strategy and Technology roadmap, and develop short-, mid- and long-term vision for the Technology Organization.
  • Oversee all ECS Technology functions, from software development to technology operations.
  • Develop and implement plan for ambitious technology capacity building, with significant resources growth, in the context of the strategic plan.
  • Structure the organization and optimize technology processes to ensure scalability and operational excellence.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Head of Product and the Product Organization to drive innovation.
  • Ensure timely development and release of new SaaS products, modules or features, to optimize time-to-revenue.
  • Provide accurate and current information on ECS Technology strategy to the Euronext Group to assist with decision making, resource deployment and establishment of priorities.
  • Develop cost optimization plans, including activities to be performed in-house or through third-party providers to best manage the company's capacity and efficiency.
  • Clearly communicate to ECS management team, to group and divisions senior leadership, and to your delivery functions and respective squads. Promote IT strategies, technology roadmaps, dependencies and plans to accelerate SaaS products development.
  • Own the technology development lifecycle and be responsible for managing all delivery risks.
Your profile
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of management track record in Technology organization including 5 to 10 years of senior experience as top manager or C-level.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and proven experience in Information Technology management role.
  • Proven experience in scaling technology organization within a reduced timeframe.
  • Proven leadership experience in B2B SaaS applications.
  • Experience with multi-applications environment is a plus.
  • Experience and ability to translate IT strategy into concrete IT roadmaps.
  • Creativity, flexibility and resilience: demonstrated ability to work in fast changing environments.
  • Comfortable both with strategic and operational assignments, "doer" attitude with strong delivery focus.
  • Persuasive, professional communication style with the ability to communicate complex, technical topics to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Attention to client feedback and satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
