Are you ready to make a real difference to the lives of children? Robin House specialises in providing therapeutic care and support to children with individual needs and strengths, aiming to support their return home to families or foster care. We work hand in hand with the Complex Needs Service to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can begin to develop trust in the adults around them.

About the Role

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,296 - £33,024 plus a sleeping-in payment of £40.76 and mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.

  • Overtime: Paid at time-and-a-half.

  • Shift Pattern: Full time, permanent, with a good work/life balance. Rotas are given in advance to ensure this balance is met. Please take a look at the example work rota attached for an idea of shift patterns.

As a Level 2 Children's Residential Carer, as well as caring for the amazing children in our Home you will:

  • Supervise and lead shifts

  • Develop projects

  • Mentor new staff and lead practice areas

  • Represent the Home at multi agency meetings

  • Manage household tasks and prepare young people for independent living

The Level 2 Children's Residential Carer role is an excellent starting block for those wanting to progress within the service and offers plenty of opportunities for having fun and creating lifelong memories for our children.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about care and deeply committed to helping our children and young people grow and develop, socially and emotionally

  • Is willing to develop themselves and undertake a QCF qualification in working with children

  • Has the ability to be a key worker, supervise staff, lead shifts and work under pressure

  • Can produce reports and maintain accurate records and has IT skills and experience

A driving licence is required for this role.
