Job Description
Responsibilities:
- You will help to recruit and lead the team of movie enthusiasts to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage & supervise all operational aspects of the cinema, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and facilities maintenance.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment to ensure team and guests feel valued and have a great time, every time.
- Foster high employee retention by implementing effective communication strategies, conducting team meetings, providing ongoing training, holding regular performance appraisals, conducting monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports, and consistently offering recognition, rewards, coaching, and mentorship.
- Responsible for monitoring and driving market share through Comscore and competitors.
- Adhere to established stock control protocols and procedures; conduct regular weekly and monthly inventory audits, analyze any variances, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout the cinema.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to enhance the cinema experience.
- Take full advantage of available resources to generate new business, build local awareness, network, and seek new sales opportunities.
- Identify and develop opportunities to create events around film and content to add value to the business and to improve our guests' experience.
- Previous experience in a general management role in the cinema.
- Solid understanding of projections and film scheduling.
- Knowledge and experience in managing a full P&L.
- Currently held certificates - Fire Marshall, First Aid, Personal License.
- Excellent knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and licensing laws.
- Outgoing individual with fire in the belly, who can lead, motivate, and strive to get the best out of people.
- Strong communicator with a friendly and professional approach.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with impeccable organizational skills.
- Health & Safety Guru, Compliance Master, and Movie Enthusiast who presents analytical thinking and business awareness.
