Class 2 Dustcart Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes effectively.

Duties
- Operate a flatbed lorry for the delivery of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting a safe driving environment.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly.

Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operations.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and route planning software.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
