WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our Digitalization & IT unit manages and supports the use of engineering software in the BASF group.

  • This position is focused on the development and implementation of an engineering data hub with a commercial CAE vendor platform.
  • You design, implement, and administrate Python data exchange workflows and tooling for integration of engineering data.
  • You support the modeling of engineering data in suitable tools together with domain experts from chemical plant engineering.
  • You support requirement engineering together with international multi-disciplinary teams.
  • You design application architecture and interfaces together with internal stakeholders and external vendors. You steer external vendors for key aspects.
  • You develop embedded Angular applications to extend the platform capabilities.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • degree in computer science or a vocational training as a computer scientist with extensive experience
  • solid practical experience in Python, Typescript, JavaScript (Angular) as well as with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • know-how with the integration of cloud systems (Web APIs) and identity management
  • practical experience with version control and CI/CD systems and ideally experience inrequirements management
  • strong communication skills in German and English
  • ability to work in a global team to achieve common goals
