Main duties of the job

As a Consultant Psychiatrist with Psychiatry-UK, you will play a pivotal role in leading the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with various mental health conditions (where you have experience), including Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, utilising your expertise to deliver evidence-based interventions and support to our patients.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with various mental health conditions, focusing on areas of expertise such as Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions and comprehensive support to patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop personalised treatment plans.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and in-house CPD.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines set by regulatory bodies (e.g., GMC).

As a Consultant Psychiatrist with Psychiatry-UK, you will leverage your expertise to lead and enhance mental health care delivery, contributing to positive patient outcomes and service excellence.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Medical degree, MRCPsych, CCT.
  • Leadership, teaching, and research qualifications.
Experience
  • GMC registered with licence to practice and on the GMC specialist register in a psychiatric specialty.
  • Experienced clinician with good clinical governance understanding.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Leadership and Management experience.
  • Senior medical management experience.
Availability
  • Able to deliver a minimum of 3 hours patient-facing time per week.
