Consultant Psychiatrist

Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with us in the Community for Enfield South, Locality Team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
The post holder will be expected to provide clinical leadership for the MDT.
Clinical Work and Leadership
To provide senior medical input into the care of patients accessing care in the team including psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and management.
To act as Responsible Clinician for patients treated under provisions of the Mental Health Act including CTO (varies between 6-10 patients) and Section 41 (5 patients at the moment). To assess and make recommendations under the MHA and to provide legal reports which may arise. The post holder is required to be approved under Section 12 (2) and hold Approved Clinician status.
To provide leadership and to take responsibility for the delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Involvement in providing leadership and management to the service, and participation in the clinical governance processes of the service and service line.
To ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
General duties Liaison with Trust services and relevant non-statutory organizations
To collaborate with GPs, hospital doctors and primary care clinicians re the physical healthcare.
Supervision of Junior Medical Staff and compliance with the requirements of GMC as appropriate.

Rate of pay : negotiable
Remote working: possibly 1x day per week
Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

Valid GMC
Right to work in the UK
Clinical attachment complete - We do not offer placements in the NHS
Minimum of 6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
