Consultant Radiologists (Multiple Posts)
NHS Lanarkshire
NHS Lanarkshire invites applications for multiple Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist posts across NHS Lanarkshire to help support and improve the Radiology service.
Within this, NHS Lanarkshire wishes in particular to expand its radiology workforce to support particularly the Gynaecology, Orthopaedic/MSK, Urological, Respiratory, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology services, but all specialty interests will be considered.
The posts are advertised as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis (including up to 2 non-DCC) but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time. If full-time, up to 2 EPA's may be available to undertake additional clinical activity.
Though each post will have a "base hospital site", some sessions may be completed at one of the other two hospital sites within the Health Board by mutual agreement at Job Planning depending upon the particular subspecialty interest and the clinical requirements of the service.
The successful applicants will contribute to an evening (until 6pm) and weekend daytime on site working for reporting plain films, USS and CT. Outside these hours the on-call is outsourced to a third party provider with the local radiologist acting as a "second-on" via an on-call rota in case of the unlikely event of an IT issue or unusual clinical queries.
The successful applicant would be welcomed into the pan-Lanarkshire service but by each post being site based, you will join a very supportive team of friendly hard working colleagues who work closely to deliver the care needed by the patients of Lanarkshire.
If you are interested in a rewarding career which offers great opportunities to develop new skills and services, whilst working within a cohesive team, we would strongly recommend you arrange a visit or informal chat by contacting:
- Dr J. Guse (Interim Clinical Lead, UH Wishaw)
- Dr F Lau (Clinical Lead, UH Hairmyres)
