Sitting withinour Risk function, Decision Science is a centre of excellence foranalytics, modelling, and customer insights. You'll be partof a specialist modelling team focused on building and deliveringindustry leading Capital, Impairment, and pricing models within theCommercial book of the Group.

We workwith data that underpins vital business decisions, and together wemake it possible to add customer value, control risk, and help tobuild a safe, strong bank for ourcustomers.


Could you help us becomemore insightful about data to reshape our business and deliversuccess?

  • Take ownership fordelivery of modelling and analytic projects, ensuring these arecompleted in line with businessrequirements.

  • Lead thedesign of modelling solutions (calibrations, analytics &development) to high technical standards and following internalpolicies and externalregulation.

  • Providetechnical leadership, mentoring and management to less experiencedteam members.

  • Be hands-onwith data, developing and validating models and running impactassessments to understand customer behaviour and credit performanceand to tell a story to the business in order to influence decisionmaking.

  • Due to the nature ofour work, which spans capital, pricing & IFRS9 models you willbuild close relationships with many other Risk teams, ImpairmentFinance and our business colleaguestoo!

  • Participate actively inthe Decision Science management team, supporting senior managers indelivering of wider team initiatives and proactively contributingto development of positive teamculture.

What you'llneed

  • You'll havehad experience in either capital/CRDIV modelling, pricing orimpairment modelling, or a similarrole

  • To succeed in this roleyou will need to have strong knowledge ofSAS

  • You'll have a trackrecord of end to end projectmanagement

  • You'll have anunderstanding of the current regulatory capitalenvironment

  • Experience withstakeholder management, especially as it relates to driving changein an organization

  • Strongcommunication skills, both in writing and informally are amust

  • Strong analyticalskills are alsorequired


And any experience of these would be reallyuseful

  • Anunderstanding of Python, SQL, or Pyspark would beuseful.

  • Commercial bankingmodelling experience would be beneficial, but is notrequired

  • People managementexperience would also beuseful
