Job Description:
Reporting and Governance of costs related to Mars Snacking Transformation initiatives (D30+) and Integration Costs related to Mergers (IMO). The role supports Transformation and Integration cost reporting for Mars Snacking in the P&L and Balance Sheet (Accruals, Capitalized Expenses, SaaS, etc.) and ensures the accounting result accuracy under Mars Finance Manual rules. This role will support D30+ & IMO Finance BP and Budget holders to ensure robust, timely and accurate reporting, support system setup and maintenance, and manage governance and control requirements. The associate is expected to become an expert in accounting and reporting processes, provide valuable insights, and support process improvements and automation.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance OR Qualified Accountant
  • In-depth knowledge of General Accounting practices and processes
  • +5 years of key user experience in SAP Finance module
  • Mastery of Mars SAP and Corporate Reporting Systems is a plus
  • Hands-on experience in Mars Global Service Finance preferred but not essential

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of financial results and analysis of accounting activities through the knowledge and application of Mars accounting policies and procedures, Mars SAP and Corporate reporting systems, and any relevant Transformation or Integration Governance handbooks.
  • Oversee the Transformation & Integration cost accounting procedures in MGS and MW ledgers for Snacking programs, and ensure costs are classified correctly.
  • Own the period close process and calendar related to Digital D30+ & IMO costs.
  • Organize work activities to support Finance BP and Central Finance reporting to comply with transformation and Integration accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Provide periodic and ad hoc analysis on Headcount reporting, Cost Centre reporting, SNOW project IO reporting.
  • Provide detailed analysis to support Finance BP and budget holders to ensure actual costs are accurate and understood as well as ensuring forecasts are robust and realistic.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on MGS and MW accounting and closing process and push reporting quality improvements over time.
  • Support Finance BP and Central Finance team on creating periodic reporting and presentation for TIGG or IMO submissions.
  • Good understanding of Capitalisation, SaaS, Amortisation and Depreciation accounting.
  • Reconcile and ensure that reports align to actual costs booked in corporate system (HELIOS).
  • Work with Finance team members on internal audit activities and improvements and liaise with relevant stakeholders to gather backup/documentation for internal audit requests.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
