Dance teacher required to cover maternity leave

We are currently supporting a community school based on the outskirts of Liverpool who are looking to recruit a Dance Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The position is due to start in November 2024 and is likely to be for the remainder of the academic year. The successful teacher will be required to teach KS3 & KS4 Dance as well as possibly some PE lessons.

  • Your new roleDance teacher delivering engaging dance lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be required to pre-plan lessons with the support from the department. You must always ensure pupils are on task and achieving outcomes in every lesson.
    Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the class teacher that meets the needs of all students.
  • Follow the schools rewards and behaviour policy.
  • Teach KS3 & KS4 Dance (experience teaching PE is also desirable)

  • Qualifications
  • A degree in Dance / Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching at secondary school level.

  • Skills
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for working with young people
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
