Job Title: Industrial Data & BI Engineer
Location: Waregem, Belgium
Type: Full-time On-site/Hybrid
Are you passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights that transform industrial operations? We're looking for a hands-on Industrial Data & Business Intelligence Engineer to help us design, build, and optimize data-driven solutions that directly impact our production, quality, safety, and sustainability.

What You'll Do:
Project Discovery & Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Automation, and IT teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
- Define project scopes and priorities, either supporting or leading project execution.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Collect, clean, and process structured and unstructured data from various industrial systems.
- Build and manage robust, scalable datasets for analytics and visualization.
- Integrate unique data sources like sensor streams, PLCs, or camera-based image data.
BI & Tool Development
- Develop intuitive and impactful dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI.
- Support advanced analytics use cases with Python or R, and process data at scale using Databricks or similar cloud-based platforms.
- Continuously optimize existing datasets and digital tools for performance and usability.
Operational Impact
- Drive improvements across safety, environment, quality, and efficiency with data as your toolkit.
- Work on multiple concurrent initiatives, from strategic analytics to quick-win enhancements.
- Stay on the lookout for emerging technologies and best practices to push innovation forward.
Who You Are:
- A data engineer, BI specialist, or analytics engineer with strong SQL skills and experience in BI development (Power BI preferred).
- Familiar with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Synapse, or similar.
- Proficient in Python or R for data wrangling, analysis, and automation.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with operational, IT, and automation stakeholders.
- Able to balance the big picture with hands-on execution.
- Passionate about digital transformation in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Fluent in English (Dutch and/or French are a plus).
