DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer - 12months + contract - Hybrid (2 days on site) - The Hague

Our Client, global consultancy firm is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to work on a government project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Ansible, cloud (AWS or Azure), security best practices, and modern DevOps tools and methodologies.

Dutch citizenship is a must

In this role, you will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to maintain scalable and secure systems while promoting best practices in automation, monitoring, and performance tuning. You will also help optimize our CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on mentality with a passion for problem-solving and operational efficiency.
• Proven experience mentoring and providing solutions in a collaborative SRE chapter setting.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Ansible.
• Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.
• Strong experience with Docker for containerization.
• Proficiency in using Git and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI.
• Deep understanding of security best practices in private cloud environments, ensuring compliance and protection of sensitive data.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Back End development in private cloud environments.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for secure secrets management.
• Proficiency in using Rancher for managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of Kafka for managing Real Time data pipelines and event streaming.
