Summary:
The Director Marketing is responsible for leading marketing strategy and plans for the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and World Travel Retail (WTR). This role works in partnership with the GM and key member of the EMEA and WTR leadership team.
This position is responsible for:
- Identifying near-in opportunities to engage consumers and win market share. Lead innovation and brand building strategy development to ensure long-term success.
- Leading analytics and insights with data from customers and syndicated sources.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Summary of major duties:
- Lead and deliver total regional markets marketing strategy and innovation plan aligned with local zone GMs.
- Lead and deliver total Brand Strategies - Where to play, How to WIN.
- Develop communication strategies including Brief, TVC, Digital video, POS Design and media mix.
- Develop customer marketing toolkit and picture of success.
- Seasonal Strategy & Portfolio & Marketing.
- Achieved with input, collaboration and shared annual goals across GMs, ensure in-market activation.
LEVERAGE SCALE TO DRIVE CORE PLATFORMS
- Defines strategic platform opportunities, identify multi-year go-to-market strategies across key markets and channels.
- Leverage Scale to drive Core Platforms from Design, Development and Calibration for Innovation, Seasons, Price Pack Architecture.
DRIVE EFFICIENT & EFFECTIVE MARKETING SPENDING
- Deliver Marketing Mix Modeling strategic approach.
- Drive effective and efficient allocation of DMEs.
- Influence local zone GMs into DME investments & choices.
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
- Effectively leads development plans for Regional Marketing team.
- Contributes directly to overall development of talent in the local offices.
- Effectively implements mid-year and year-end performance management and compensation programs for marketing managers along with the GMs and works to build sustainable succession pipeline.
- Works closely with GM to build and develop a high-performance regional marketing organization.
ANALYTICS & INSIGHTS
- Understand consumer and category insights to drive innovation and marketing strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to influence GMs.
Education:
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, and/or general management positions within FMCG company.
- Strong career progression - clear evidence of consistent advancement.
