Director - Real Estate Debt

As a Director, you will:

• Advise across the whole capital stack on CRE transactions
• Build out further lending partners in the £5m+ lending space
• Obtain new debt mandates
• Develop business to bring in new partners and clients
• Assess the financial position and credibility of customers seeking commercial debt
• Advise on other financial products to customers
• Approve and reject loan applications based on borrowing thresholds
• Explain loan repayment schedules and manage loans through their lifespan
• Review and update loan files and credit documentation
• Maintain strong compliance with every client and transaction
• Manage and coach junior members of the business
• Assist senior leadership in strategic growth of the commercial business
• Cross-refer clients to other areas of the group such as accountancy, mortgages, and insurance teams
• Ensure clients adhere to loan agreements and manage timely repayments

The Director will have:

• At least five years of experience in financial institutions, particularly in banking or financial services
• Experience originating CRE transactions over £5m
• A strong understanding of debt advisory operations with banks or lenders
• Excellent emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
• Confidence in communicating with all levels of seniority
• Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
• Proficiency in various IT tools, including financial and administrative software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Impeccable customer service skills
• A firm grasp of financial documentation and administration procedures
• Strong numerical skills for loan calculations and repayments
