General information

We are looking for you (f/m/d) as soon as possible on a full-time basis to lead and strategically develop the 'Business Relations' department with a focus on sales, CRM management, and fundraising. The role aims to establish and strengthen long-term partnerships with companies, donors, alumni, and other stakeholders.


Your mission Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage the new Business Relations department
  • Coordinate processes with WHU divisions
  • Implement and manage a university-wide CRM system
  • Oversee the university's fundraising effor
  • Drive B2C and B2B sales for academic programs and other formats
Main Tasks
  • Team Development and Leadership:
    - Build, recruit and manage a team in collaboration with university leadership
    - Plan and establish organizational structures and processes
    - Manage budgets and resources
  • Process Coordination:
    - Coordinate operations with key WHU areas such as study programs, ExecEd, faculty, student clubs (initiatives), marketing, public relations, the WHU and Beisheim foundations
    - Develop stakeholder-specific communication strategies in alignment with marketing and PR
  • CRM Development:
    - Oversee implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of a university-wide CRM system
  • Fundraising:
    - Create and execute strategies to acquire new partners and donors
    - Foster long-term partnerships with companies and sponsors
    - Plan and run fundraising campaigns and events
  • B2C & B2B Sales:
    - Establish sales units targeting specific audiences (alumni, corporate partners)
    - Build a strong national and international network
    - Represent WHU at events and conferences

Your profile
  • Academic background in business or similar fields
  • Proven leadership experience in sales, CRM, fundraising, or business development (preferably in education).
  • Expertise in modernizing and digitalizing organizational processes
  • Exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Integrity, social competence, and team orientation
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
