Introduction to the team
The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands.
Expedia Group is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader to join the Expedia Brands team as a Director within our Marketing Analytics Organization.
This is a great opportunity to join the surging travel industry and help drive the business forward while working on impactful and complex problems.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of analysts to deliver against a broad range of projects.
- Work independently and with other analytics teams across the business to understand the drivers of our performance.
- Conduct analysis to identify new opportunities and help shape and track performance of initiatives as they progress.
- Work with your business partners to support the creation of robust forecasts and anticipate future performance drivers before they happen.
- Support our weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting cycles where we define KPIs and review the performance of the business.
- Build a great team and support the Marketing Analytics Community.
Experience and qualifications:
- 8+ years' experience in a similar analytical role; tech/travel industry preferred.
- Experience directly managing a team or demonstrated leadership skills in a senior-level role.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong commercial acumen.
- Strong experience in big data manipulation; leveraging SQL and/or other coding languages.
- Innovative and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity.
- Demonstrated project and partner management skills, working with multiple teams.
- Skilled in engaging with stakeholders across all levels, including VPs/SVPs.
- Brings extensive experience and strategic thought leadership.
- Uses advanced and sophisticated understanding of the business problem space to inform the design of the solution.
- Curious and willing to learn.
- Impact-oriented and keen to make a difference.
- Team player/leader who works collaboratively.
- Entrepreneurial and sees opportunity.
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $224,000 to $313,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $358,500.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location and individual qualifications.
