Golf's premier sports organization, the PGA TOUR, seeks a Director of Business Development - EMEA role in our International Media department. This position, based in London, will report to the Senior Vice President of International Media at the PGA TOUR's International Media Headquarters based in London. Working closely with the Business Development team globally, this position is responsible for the media sales for all PGA TOUR programming including the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, Korn Ferry Tour, the Presidents Cup, and all ancillary and short-form programming and content.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying business development opportunities for PGA TOUR in the media, digital and ancillary business space, including content distribution and digital partnerships, across the globe, but with a focus on the EMEA region.
  • Supporting the SVP of International Media in negotiating deals in all key markets.
  • Supporting the team in establishing and implementing global distribution strategy for PGA TOUR across all platforms (TV, digital, mobile, AVOD, SVOD) including approach to revenue, audience and brand growth.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow PGA TOUR's FAST Channel strategy and roll-out.
  • Working with the DPWT on their media strategy.
  • Conducting research and gathering input from all relevant teams.
  • Sourcing market data and conducting independent research.
  • Communicating research findings and recommendations via power-point presentations and/or memos (i.e. structure storyline, present findings to the team and wider audiences as required).
  • Contributing creative and strategic thinking on projects and challenging existing perceptions.
  • Use creativity to consider analytical problems from a range of angles.
  • Developing robust financial valuation models, business plans and other supporting analyses.
  • Building and managing relationships with a wide range of people across the organization.
  • Working proactively on tasks and assisting different stages of deals with minimal supervision.
  • Work with PGA TOUR Client Services team to establish and maintain relationships with all PGA TOUR media partners.
  • Assist in establishing presentations and long-range planning data.
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance, Media/Communications or other related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a management level position within the International Television / Digital Media field. Prior experience working with international broadcasters required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • International travel required.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms and distributors is a plus.
