Fairmont Tokyo - the first Fairmont in Japan is slated to open July 2025. Located on the upper floors of the South Tower of the Shibaura Project, Fairmont Tokyo offers easy access to business, culture, and well-being amenities as well as Haneda International Airport and Hamamatsucho Railway Station. The property will offer 217 guest rooms including a range of suites, five restaurants and bars including 2 outdoor Terrace on level 35, a spa, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, meeting rooms, banquet facilities, a sky chapel and a hotel boat to elevate the guest experience.


Job Description

As Director of Revenue Management you will be managing the revenue management department of the hotel. You will be the mastermind behind the revenue management strategies of all revenue centers at the property.

What you will be doing

  1. Reviews the pricing strategy established with the General Manager.
  2. Ensure that defined rate quoting strategy is in place for the negotiated RFP season and potentially overlooking reservations section.
  3. Maximizes hotel revenue contribution through all distribution channels.
  4. Continuous analysis of changing channel distribution models and the impact on consumer booking trends.
  5. Works with the top line team to determine effective and engaging rate offers (packages) which are then offered to the right customer through the right channel.
  6. Sets up the standards of operations in both Revenue and Reservations department.
  7. Actively monitors the competitive environment and elaborates revenue optimizing tactics and strategies in order to maximize Revenue Generation Index (RGI).
  8. Drives the forecasting process for all operating departments, identifying revenue potentials and supply and demand variables for the property.
  9. Assists the Director of Sales with pricing and demand projects based on clear brief.
  10. Reviews market trends and benchmarks against competition.
  11. Closely monitors competitors for shifts in demand, rate, and strategy.
  12. Conducts daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, and reporting.
  13. Drives revenue generating initiatives to optimize top line revenues.
  14. Provides weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
  15. Configures and manages key systems including revenue management system, central reservation system, property management system, and the respective distribution platforms.
  16. Maintains pricing integrity, checking distribution channels regularly for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
  17. Identifies areas needing improvement, competitors' strengths, and develops strategies to best capture available market share.
  18. Communicates revenue management strategies to the Room Reservations team and other teams as required.
  19. Analyzes overall monthly hotel performance and provides summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
  20. Ensures all related systems are configured correctly, validated, and working to full capacity.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Revenue Management.
