About Priory Life Works
Life Works, located in Woking, Surrey, is a highly respected private rehabilitation centre with a unique therapeutic environment, leading the way in addiction and eating disorder treatment. We treat up to 18 low risk private patients for addictions and eating disorders in a Georgian house surrounded by beautiful gardens. We are easily accessible from the A3 and M25 and a 30 min walk from Woking Train station. The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Eating Disorder Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of eating disorders across a diverse range of populations. As an integral member of our team, the Eating Disorder Consultant will provide clinical expertise, guidance, and support to clients, their families, and fellow staff members.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and treat an outpatient population.
  2. Assess, treat and oversee the care of inpatients within your specialty; holding patient review and a ward round once a week.
  3. Required substantive caseload of three inpatients.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, dietician, nurses and an advanced nurse practitioner.
  5. Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
  6. Expand your practice in alignment with Priory Life Works' prestigious reputation.
  7. Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
  8. Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:
- GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
- Experience in Mental Health Treatments/Eating Disorders.
- A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by Priory Life Works.
