Electrical Engineer 2 / Transmission Planning

Join AZAD as an Electrical Engineer and support and work within the Transmission Infrastructure Development. This position will provide professional engineering expertise in assisting project managers and other engineering personnel in developing projects and other related engineering activities.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid in Vancouver, WA with onsite 1-2 days weekly.

The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.57) is $30.33 - $51.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited college/university in electrical engineering or closely related engineering field is required.
2. 5+ years electrical engineering experience is required.
3. Engineering degree required and practical experience. Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
4. Ability to analyze and develop complex installations, facilities or structures using the latest techniques and applicable standards.
5. Ability to participate and perform effectively in a project team environment and effectively manage multiple work assignments and changing priorities.
6. Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill stakeholder/customer/team requirements.
7. Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
8. Must be able to pass a federal criminal background and drug screening.
