Job Description

NES Fircroft are partnering with our major Engineering & Services client to provide Electrical Engineers at all levels for long-term projects based out of their Warrington office. Hybrid working available. 3-year project! Mon-Fri minimum 37.5hrs per week.


Job Role
Electrical Engineer working on a Sellafield project providing technical expertise executing detailed design documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop electrical system layouts and schematics for new projects, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and grounding.
  2. Select appropriate electrical equipment based on project requirements and specifications.
  3. Conduct load calculations and ensure system capacity meets project demands.
  4. Prepare detailed electrical drawings and documentation for construction.
  5. Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:
BSc / BEng, in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Desirable:
CompEx 12


Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years general engineering experience - Nuclear experience desirable
  2. Well-developed understanding of Matrix management systems and organisational structures
  3. Good organizational and time management skills
  4. Ability to problem-solve effectively
  5. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Ability to effectively work in a team
  7. Attention to detail
  8. Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering design programs.
  9. Leadership ability/skills with ability to delegate effectively
  10. Understanding of British and common international standards and regulatory authority requirements

Desirable:
Good commercial contractual awareness/risk management skills
Experience with other disciplines including processing plant construction, commissioning, and operation
