As a permanent Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will join a valued team in our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. The role will support the Engineering department with maintenance and repair of all Electrical/Control equipment within the products production unit and comply with all Health and Safety policies.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will examine structures and equipment within buildings or plant and report defects, carry out legislative checks, and keep records. Following all risk assessments and procedures, you will supervise attendees for scheduled servicing of equipment and breakdowns. You will also maintain electrical equipment, assemble electrical systems, deal with production breakdowns, manage plant modifications, and perform instrumentation calibrations, using logical problem-solving techniques to find the root cause and rectify issues.
You will work with equipment such as a pedestal drill machine, grinders, welding equipment, and portable powered hand tools, and assist with the repair of all mechanical equipment across the products business when required.
Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role or have a Certificate of Technical Education in the field (level 3 up). You will be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, and have an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment.
