Job Title: Employee Relations (ER) Business Partner

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Salary: £49,250- £55,000

They are currently seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Business Partner to join their HR team. As an ER Business Partner, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and compliant treatment of staff.

Responsibilities:

Provide proactive operational HR advice to line managers on staffing issues, such as performance, conduct, and sickness.
Manage Employee Relations casework, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, investigations, and appeals.
Maintain accurate case records and ensure HR systems are up to date.
Support reviews of services and staff structures, including consultation with employees and trade unions.
Prepare for Employment Tribunal matters, including case conferences, briefings, and documentation.
Proactively manage staff absence through occupational health referrals and return-to-work arrangements.
Support managers in interpreting occupational health reports and implementing reasonable adjustments.
Advise on performance management, including capability issues.
Provide support to staff during times of distress, referring them to appropriate resources as needed.
Contribute to the organisation's wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
Participate in activities that enhance the employee experience.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

CIPD qualified at CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, with Associate CIPD accreditation.
Experienced HR professional with detailed knowledge of employment law and best practises.
Strong understanding of complex HR issues, including absence management, recruitment, and staff wellbeing.
Ability to coach managers in HR best practises.
Knowledge and commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Experience in Employment Tribunals.
Engagement with Trade Unions.
KornFerry Hay Job Evaluation Accreditation.

Technologies:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using HR systems and databases.
