International Highschool Herzogberg - IB world school

International Highschool Herzogberg in Perchtoldsdorf (postcode: 2380, in close vicinity to Vienna) has a vacancy for an English-mothertongue-speaking English A IB teacher starting in September 2021.

International Highschool Herzogberg offers programs for 12 to 18 year-olds across 6 grades with a maximum of 16 students per grade. It is located on a m property on the outskirts of Vienna, near the Wienerwald, and easily reachable from Liesing train station.

The job involves teaching students English as a second language in grades 10 to 12.

• designing and implementing curricula in IB English B for grades 11th and 12 th grade for the school year 2024/25 and grade 10 th ,11 th and 12th in the school year 2025/26 and further
• detailed planning of lessons and documentation of student progress
• supervision of students in their individual development
• provide a natural and positive standing to languages in all its varieties

Minimum requirements:

• European Work Permit
• IB English B training completed until the beginning
• Experience in working at an IB Diploma or Middle School
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience
• English Mother Tongue Speaker/English as the first language
• Basic IT skills (for e-mail communication and use of online learning platform)
• Good overall health condition
• Good psychological condition

Additional perspectives and options for more hours

• Teaching TOK (would be ideal if you offer it!) 3 hours per week additional minimum of €480 per month
• Taking over Homroom teaching (would be ideal if you offer it!) 2 times 30 minutes a week (coaching, guiding, caring) for an additional minimum of 180€
• Teaching CAS (30 minutes for 11 th and 12 th grade per week additional €300 minimum per month
• Eventually teaching IB English A (11 th and 12 th grade)

Working hours: part-time position (with the possibility of more hours - see additional perspectives)

Salary: minimum 1293,80€ for 8 hours a week, paid 14 times a year (if you stay 3 years at least); includes planning and documentation et;
