Pride in London is embracing a renewed sense of purpose that resonates with everyone. We stand as a beacon to highlight ongoing challenges within the LGBTQ+ community, even amidst progress. Our roots intertwine the protest origins of Pride with the spirit of celebration Our guiding values - Visibility, Unity, and Equality - drive every step we take.
Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!
About Pride's Got Talent (PGT)
PGT is Britain's only fully-inclusive LGBTQ+ talent show, showcasing emerging queer artists since 2014. After a strategic hiatus, we're relaunching the competition in 2025 with a vision to elevate it to new heights.
The Role:
As the Executive Producer for PGT, you will lead the creative direction and production of this beloved LGBTQ+ talent competition. You'll be responsible for reimagining and elevating the show for its 2025 relaunch, ensuring it remains a premier platform for emerging LGBTQ+ talent in Britain.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the overall creative vision for PGT 2025
Oversee all aspects of production, from pre-production planning to post-production evaluation
Manage the competition structure, including online submissions, live heats, semi-finals, and the grand final
Lead the talent recruitment process and manage relationships with judges, hosts, and guest performers
Build and lead a team of volunteer production professionals.
Develop and manage the production budget
Liaise with venues, technical teams, and external production partners
Collaborate with the Pride in London marketing team on promotional strategies
Ensure smooth running of live events, making real-time decisions during productions
Maintain Pride's Got Talent's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ representation
What you'll Bring to Pride in London:
Proven experience as a producer in television, live events, or talent competitions
Strong understanding of all aspects of production, including sound, lighting, and staging
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Creative vision coupled with practical production knowledge
Demonstrated commitment to LGBTQ+ causes and understanding of the community's diverse needs
Experience in budget management
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during key production periods
Passion for LGBTQ+ representation in the arts and media
Calm demeanour under pressure and ability to make quick decisions in a live production environment
Collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates diverse teams
Preferred:
Experience producing LGBTQ+-focused content or events
Network of contacts within the LGBTQ+ entertainment scene
Previous involvement with Pride events or similar programs
