Eyewear Designer (m/f/d)

MPG is an independent corporate group based in Graz, Austria.

Through our widespread and efficiently networked distribution systems, locations and subsidiaries, we supply our B2B and B2C customers throughout Europe with a variety of different frame brands, sunglasses, sports glasses, optical lenses and healthcare products.

YOUR TASKS

• Active participation in the design and product development process of all brands and licenses of the group for optical glasses and sunglasses
• Supervision and management of various projects from concept, drawing and first prototypes to the finished product
• Collaboration with existing partners and search for additional innovative suppliers
• Project work and creative contribution within the design and product development team
• Active communication within the MPG Business Units
• Observation and evaluation of competitors

YOUR SKILLS

• Completed education as an industrial or product designer (University/FH) or equivalent
• Several years of relevant experience in the eyewear industry
• Excellent sense for colors, shapes, and trends
• Enthusiasm for the advancement of technologies
• Very good knowledge of Rhino 3D, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Illustrator, and experience with Photoshop
• Excellent English skills, German is a plus
• Profound MS Office skills

Our compensation packages are competitive and take individual qualifications and experience into consideration. In accordance with the Austrian collective labor agreement, we advise that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 46.000,- Euro, with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
