Field Service Engineer

Personnel Selection are pleased to be working alongside this buoyant and well-respected business, who have their Head Office in-between Andover and Winchester.

We are recruiting for an electro-mechanically biased Field Service Engineer on a full time and permanent basis, with a territory covering the South of England. There is an occasional need for cover outside of this area and rare cover needed in Ireland.

This role will suit an individual who is flexible with overnight stays, as these average around 2 - 3 a week.

The package includes a high-spec van, laptop, phone and also a commission structure is available.

The duties will include fault-find, repair, routine servicing and customer site training. Diagnose and resolve issues that arise during a service call. Escalate issues requiring further resolution.

Ensure customer machinery is left complete, safe and tidy with paperwork signed off to our customers' satisfaction. Identify future customer sales opportunities through relationship management and responsive service.

The role is available due to business expansion - you will be joining an existing team of 4 field based engineers and will have an excellent training and onboarding plan delivered.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of electronics knowledge, good mechanical skills and excellent diagnostics experience.

This is a customer facing role, therefore we are looking for a well-presented, professional and reliable candidate who is confident communicating in person, with people of all levels.

Ideally, we would like to hear from people with BTEC/ONC/equivalent in electronics, though we will consider applications from candidates who are qualified by experience.
