The Egis Architecture Line (a division of Egis Group) is composed of a collection of 5 world-renowned international architecture and master planning practices with offices globally. With over 1000 architects and designers working in 20 studios across 5 continents, Egis' Architecture Line showcases global expertise that plays a pivotal role in the design and operation of smart buildings and infrastructures that address the climate emergency.

We are at an exciting time of growth and expansion and as such are looking for an experienced Financial Director to join the Architecture Line here at Egis.

Strategic Objectives:

  • Consolidate global Architecture Service Line activities from each international entity
  • Identify and help implement global financial efficiency in close coordination with the Architecture Service Line COO
  • Liaise and coordinate Architecture Service Line reporting with regional finance teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with the goals and objectives of the Architecture Service Line and wider Egis Group.
  • Collaborate with the Architecture Service Line COO and Business Line CFO to drive long-term strategic planning.
  • Evaluate and advise the Architecture Line Management and BL management of the impact of the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Collaborate with the Architecture service Line COO, MD and entity Project Controllers, in the development of the annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with Business Line and Regional Heads to ensure accurate and achievable financial plans.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning for the wide variety of markets and geographies.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making by the Service Line and Business Line Management teams to improve financial performance.
  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports for the whole Architecture Service Line, incorporating the results of the multiple brand entities within the Architecture Service Line.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the E&SC Business Line as well as the three Egis Group Regional divisions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
  • Present financial reports and insights to the Architecture Service Line Management as well as the Business Line Executive team.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks for the Architecture Service Line, including market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and compliance procedures to safeguard the assets of the Architecture Service Line entities.
Profile

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a multi-entity, International organization, preferably within the building design or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
  • A wealth of progressive experience in finance, with a large amount of this time being in a senior leadership role.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and formal Finance qualification (ACCA / ACA or CIMA or similar).
