What we're all about
You can probably already tell that we're not your typical housing provider! With around 20,000 homes (and more in the pipeline), we're on track with our growth plan to build 8,000 new homes across Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Building Safety & Compliance Lead, you'll be leading a small team of Fire Risk Surveyors. You'll have responsibility for fire safety across Yorkshire Housing, including circa 550 fire risk assessments. This is a comprehensive role where you'll balance strategic planning with hands-on operational management. You'll be the go-to expert for all fire safety matters, ensuring that Yorkshire Housing meets the latest fire safety legislation, industry best practices, and landlord statutory obligations.
Other aspects of the role include:
- Investigating all fire safety incidents and concerns, ensuring that remedial action is identified
- Developing fire safety policies, procedures, controls and education
- Ensuring changes to legislation, codes of practice, policies and procedures are identified and understood and implemented
- Ensuring that all fire safety inspections, maintenance and delivery programmes are planned to agreed timescales
