Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher looking to make a positive impact in a supportive educational environment? Our small, alternative provision secondary school specialises in catering to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our team on a maternity cover basis until July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD, anxiety, and SEMH.

Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.

Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support student progress.

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback and support as needed.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Food Technology, preferably within a special educational needs setting.

Understanding of the challenges faced by students with ASD, anxiety, and SEMH.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
