Physician - Endocrinologist


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 40 Hours per Week

COMPENSATION:
- $250,000 to $290,000 Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is an outpatient endocrinology role in a multi-specialty group practice. Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  1. review patient histories and perform physical examinations
  2. conduct physical evaluations and diagnostic tests to determine diagnoses
  3. provide appropriate treatments and patient care plans
  4. diagnose and treat patients with a variety of hormonal diseases
  5. diagnose and treat patient conditions related to the endocrine systems
  6. provide comprehensive diabetes care with available support of CDE/RD services
  7. recommend management, including preventive healthcare and habits
  8. prescribe medications
  9. formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
  10. provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
  11. maintain complete and accurate medical records
  12. communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
  13. participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled. All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice utilizes the Epic EHR. This position has no weekends or evenings. The new physician will share on-call phone answering responsibilities with other endocrinologists.

- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Endocrinology
