OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Rheumatologist


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 40 Hours per Week
- No Evenings
- No Weekends

- Exact Schedule Negotiable


COMPENSATION:
- $225,000 to $260,000 Guaranteed Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is an outpatient rheumatology role in a multi-specialty group practice, treating patients with rheumatic diseases such as lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, osteoporosis, and more.


Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  1. review patient histories and perform physical examinations
  2. consult with patients to determine appropriate courses of treatment
  3. provide appropriate treatments and patient care plans
  4. examine and diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system
  5. examine and diagnose disorders and diseases of the immune system
  6. recommend and order tests to determine extent of illnesses and help diagnose conditions
  7. diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles, and joints
  8. obtain lab reports (including x-rays) and prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs / other medications
  9. suggest OT or PT to patients suffering from arthritis and other types of joint disorders
  10. provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
  11. communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
  12. participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled.


All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.


The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility, Rheumatology
- 1+ year of practice experience in an outpatient setting
