A market leader in conditioned transport of fresh meat is seeking an experienced General Manager for our German site, a key part of the client's Cold Chain division within their logistics sector. This is your chance to make an impact in the complex, fast-paced world of fresh food logistics.

The client is a European logistics and ferry company headquartered in Denmark, offering multimodal transport solutions, such as warehousing and door-to-door freight services. The Premium Cold division operates across five locations in Europe.

We specialise in the safe and conditioned groupage transport of time-sensitive fresh food products such as meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables. Maintaining product freshness through our logistics chain requires excellence, commitment, and innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy:

1. Lead a team of 120+ colleagues, driving operational excellence and maintaining the company's position as a market leader.
2. Play a vital role in the leadership team, contributing to overall business objectives.
3. Develop and execute long-term commercial strategies to drive organic growth.
4. Foster a culture of engagement, communication, and collaboration aligned with the company's values.

Operations and Business Development:

1. Oversee end-to-end operational performance, ensuring efficiency, optimisation, and high customer service levels.
2. Identify opportunities to enhance operations with innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Manage P&L responsibilities with a strong focus on cost control and growth.

Sales and Customer Relations:

1. Drive the development of new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key customers.
2. Act as the senior point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
3. Maintain a client-driven approach, fostering strong working relationships across multiple locations and countries.

Your Profile:

1. Experience: Proven track record in leading logistics operations with full P&L responsibility.
2. Leadership: Strong ability to motivate, guide, and develop teams.
3. Strategic Mindset: Focused on improving operational efficiency and driving business growth.
4. Language Skills: Fluent in both German and English.
5. Mobility: Willing to travel regularly.
