Job Description
TOP BRAND PLAYER IN FMCG

Our client is a German subsidiary of a global FMCG player, owning several well-known international brands, with leading market positions. The German subsidiary acts as a pure Sales & Marketing organisation, generating double-digit million EUR revenue. The company brands enjoy high brand awareness and consumer trust, sold via classical food retailers and discounters. In recent years, the business has developed positively but still has significant potential in expanding distribution and product range. To exploit the brand and portfolio potential, the company is establishing a General Manager (a.g.) role focused on implementing a growth agenda, enhancing the portfolio, and marketing strategy for GER. The new GM (a.g.) should be familiar with working in a very international, brand-driven environment in a matrix organisation.

YOUR KEY TASK
  • Defining and implementing the company's strategy in Germany
  • Developing the brand & product portfolio based on country-specific consumer dynamics and international production capabilities
  • Translating strategic market objectives into channel and account-specific sales strategies in close alignment with the Sales Director
  • Working closely with international brand and innovation teams, consumer intelligence, and the supply chain organisation
  • Taking responsibility for commercial growth and profitability targets with full P&L responsibility for Germany
  • Ensuring compliance with inter-/national regulations and standards
  • Managing a small country team (marketing, sales, supply chain coordination, administration), reporting into the Regional VP

YOUR PROFILE
  • Several years in management positions as marketing head or commercial director with experience in P&L management
  • Strong competencies in strategic marketing, brand management, and market rollouts for A-Brands in FMCG
  • Extensive experience with the German consumer market and retail landscape, with good insights into important customer groups
  • Experience in portfolio expansion and implementing differentiating brand and marketing strategies
  • Entrepreneurial thinking; motivator and team player
  • Loyal, trustworthy leader with integrity
  • Fluent language skills in French and English
