Role description:

This role oversees and leads the global user experience design strategy and initiatives for client-facing products across Digital Intelligence. The director will be responsible for bringing together several fragmented approaches to user experience design by implementing a standardized design system, a global talent management framework, and processes to help Arcadis deliver world leading user experiences across all Arcadis's client facing products

The role sits within our global business area Intelligence. We use digital intelligence and deep human knowledge to create products and solutions in a holistic way. We empower our clients with agile, data-driven insights and technologies that complement our sustainable design, engineering and advisory expertise. We can confidently work in partnership to address global challenges from climate change and rapid urbanization, to increasing digitalization, socio-economic disruption and societal expectations head-on, all with the common goal of improving quality of life.

Role accountabilities:

• Deliver world-class customer experiences. Owning the global UX practice and strategy across our client-facing products. Elevating our product suite to have world leading customer experiences.

• Leading and mentoring the global UX team.

• Fostering a collaborative and innovative global UX practice through mentoring and coaching a global team of UX practitioners

• Establishing and championing a user-centric design culture within Arcadis, establishing design, usability and research best practices

• Implementing comprehensive UX strategies, methodologies, and best practices

• Design Oversight. Ensuring consistency and quality across all UX design work, including wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and testing of prototypes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration. Working closely with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and intuitive user experiences

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10+ years experience as UX designer

• At least 3 years experience leading global product design teams

• Experience designing complex data-intensive enterprise applications

• Experience with implementing org-wide design systems

• Experience working on applications with global reach

• Experience implementing discovery and user testing best practices

• Experience in service design is a plus
