Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Principal Integrity Engineer and Discipline Engineers in the effective provision of materials and corrosion engineering management and inspection services to the allocated site(s), to support the Integrity Management Team in ensuring that the integrity management activities for the Client's assets are budgeted, planned, implemented, and reported in a timely and effective manner.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

• Support the onshore Discipline Engineers in technical and operational aspects of materials and corrosion engineering management by sourcing information, progressing actions, record maintenance etc.

• Assist with the preparation of reports for performance management / integrity data e.g. reports, weekly performance reports, monthly KPI / IOW reports etc.

• Assist in RBA preparation and reviews as directed by Discipline Engineers

• Assist in the development of detailed plans, programs, and work scopes for annual corrosion and integrity monitoring etc, in direct liaison with third-party subcontractors, with client departments and other client contractors.

• Support the Discipline Engineers in the preparation of work packs for programmed work and for unplanned activities.

• Carry out input of project inspection and corrosion monitoring data into the client maintenance and inspection management system (SAP) and Oceaneering internal data systems.

• Assist the Project Manager in compilation of financial budgets, forecasts and statistics, preparation of CTR's, equipment/personnel requisitions and budgetary reports etc.

• Maintain training, competence and certification records for team members.

• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Qualifications

This role is based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Candidates MUST currently live in the UK and have full Right to Work.

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry

• Preference will be given to recent (within the last year) or upcoming graduates in MSc or PhD Corrosion Control Engineering

• Strong academic record with relevant coursework in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry

DESIRED

• Basic understanding of material properties and behaviour in industrial environments

• Familiarity with corrosion mechanisms and prevention techniques

• Awareness of industry standards (e.g., NACE, API, ASME, ISO)

• Capability to attain API/ASME Plant Inspector Level 1 certification
