Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will take responsibility and ownership for accounting policies, taxation, and reporting throughout the group. There will be a focus on improving current processes and implementing missing processes and updating policies and procedures. This person will be key to ensuring the Group has considered all finance opportunities, challenges, laws, and regulations across all territories as we move into a period of growth.
This role will lead and implement transformational changes, elevating our financial operations.
Hybrid: 3 days in central London office / 2 days from home
Salary range: 80k - 90k
Main duties and responsibilities to include:
Financial Reporting:- Own the consolidated balance sheet ensuring all balances are reconciled and supported throughout the team.
- Responsible for intercompany transactions, including calculations on intercompany interest and recharges and maintaining the intercompany matrix.
- Manage the year-end audit process, being the key point of contact for the external auditors, managing the team in preparing audit schedules and any other requested audit information for year end.
- Manage the year end corporation tax for the group, including returns, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Manage the transfer pricing policies and reporting through the group structure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external bankers and advisors.
- Ownership of the weekly operational cashflow model.
- Develop and manage the AR & Cash Assistant and the AP Assistant in line with the company's direction.
- 5 years(+) of post-qualified experience within retail industry.
- Previous management and coaching experience.
