Hadoop Engineer

We are currently looking for a Hadoop Engineer to work on an initial 12 month contract for a global banking organization.

Key requirements:

• High level Knowledge on Hadoop platforms and core Hadoop components
• Carry out SRE duties for Big Data on various open-source platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, and HBASE
• Adhere to runbooks/SOPs to manage platform and application problems
• Troubleshooting both Hadoop platform service, application problems and identifying the root cause
• Cluster maintenance processes and implement changes as per the documented installation and validation plans
• Writing ansible playbooks and automate manual tasks using Ansible, Shell Scripting and python Scripting.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems

Contract Details:

• Location: Warsaw, Poland - Hybrid 2/3 days per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 12 Months (view for extension)
• Pay Rate: Negotiable - depending on experience
