A Snapshot of Your Day:

As the Head of AC Regional Accounting Europe, you will partner with your high performing team and other key stakeholders in steering the business by providing transparency of financial data, identifying the most appropriate accounting solutions for the company, while striving to consistently drive digitalisation and automation.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Act as the regional representative and first contact person on site for "Accounting & Controlling" as well as cascade headquarter (HQ) information to the region and provide regional information to HQ.
  • Prepare closing IFRS packages and statutory financial statements throughout the region and support locally on technical accounting topics and facilitate alignment with HQ and the auditor.
  • Strive within and between regions to foster harmonized, digital and cost-efficient implementation of processes, methods, and systems.
  • Work with local and regional VPs Finance to ensure compliant financial statements, external and management reporting.
  • Coordinate with group and local auditors to ensure timely closing and submissions.
  • Ensure a high level of accounting and digitalisation/automation knowledge is fostered in the region and foster a culture of collaboration with the business and across functions.
  • Ensure adherence to local requirements while considering the specifics of a global company and maintaining high quality of books and records in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Oversee adherence to SE financial policies and guidelines and support the application of Risk and Internal Controls (RIC) methodology.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or controlling role, preferably within a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Ability to proactively manage the interests of different stakeholder groups and generate strategic vision for the department.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project and change management, preferably relating to digital solutions, as well as experience in the assessment of complex, non-routine accounting transactions.
  • Qualification as ACA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • People management and cross-culture skills as well as structured and independent style of work.
