Job Description

Role Overview

The Head of Agency is a senior stakeholder owning the overall Nexus Media Solutions (NMS) relationship for a given GroupM agency, setting the agenda on how NMS collaborates with that agency and their clients to accelerate growth. You will create an agency growth strategy focused on delivering outstanding leadership and direction in the areas of cross-channel activation, enlisting collaboration from C-suite agency stakeholders to deliver your strategy. You are expected to develop, maintain, and evangelize a full understanding of all GM capabilities, solutions, and services (e.g. Choreograph, Acceleration, and GOAT) and establish yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to agencies and clients.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Agency Ownership

  1. Responsible for the overall financial performance attainment (revenue, net sales) of allocated agency against set monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  2. Enable this by designing and delivering a tailored growth strategy for specific agency aimed at accelerating spend from existing clients and winning new business.
  3. Ownership of agency forecasting including input into QRF process and accurate weekly/monthly performance representation.
  4. Establish and nurture C-level relationships across the agency, building trust and enlisting sponsorship and promotion for the growth strategy.
  5. Own relationships across all agency Managing Partners and client leadership, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with regular engagement cadence.
  6. Align NMS narrative and pitch efforts against the positioning of the agency.

Client / Industry Representation

  1. Act as a key strategic advisor to priority clients supporting their growth through delivering client growth plans, in partnership with the agency.
  2. Set parameters for your directors to own client engagement cadence, securing regular touchpoints with key stakeholders including QBRs and annual reviews.
  3. Build relationships with multiple client stakeholders across nominated accounts (e.g. CMOs & heads of media).
  4. Provide thought leadership across key topics for their agency and client base, including representation on panels and at industry events.

Stakeholder Management

  1. Work with Managing Partner on go-to-market strategies and generating ideas to generate incremental growth.
  2. Partner with NMS regional/global teams to align your agency strategy with those implemented at regional/global level and represent the UK market in regional initiatives relating to your agency/priority clients.
  3. Collaborate with NMS UK teams (Client Services, Activation, Marketing Science, Solutions Development) with a priority focus on head of level, to secure support and resourcing against growth strategy and day-to-day service excellence.
  4. Contribute to the NMS UK extended leadership team.

Team Leadership

  1. Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing agency client leadership team to deliver against business targets & client growth.
  2. Set focus and priority areas for the team through defined and measurable OKRs.
  3. Act as a role model for customer excellence ensuring a high standard of your team's delivery.

People and Culture

  1. Lead by example on the NMS core values, inspiring and coaching others to do the same.
  2. Build a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration and step up to lead on key strategic priorities.
  3. Instill a collaborative and effective 'one team' ethos across NMS and with your agency.
